Indian Style Pasta( MACRONI PASTA) From Indian Kitchen -Pakashala

          Macroni Pasta Indian Style-Masale dar 

          Main Ingradients 

  • 200 gm elbow marconi pasta
  • 1 nos. medium size onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 medium size tomato (finely chopped)
  • 1 nos. large size red bell pepper or red capsicum (diced)
  • 1/2 tsp. minced garlic cloves
  • 1/4 tsp. ginger paste
  • 1 tsp. red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp. turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp. dry coriander powder
  • 1 tsp. garam masala powder and 1/2 t spoon of Chat Masala (for Chatpati taste)
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp any Edible Oil 
  • METHOD:
    • Cook the pasta according to the instructions. Drain the water and keep it aside.
    • Slice the onions and finely chop the vegetables and tomatoes. you can use  carrots, capsicum,corn kernels, green peas, broccoli, and cauliflower.
    • In a pan add oil and throw in the mustard seeds and curry leaves.
    • Add in the sliced onions and when it turns pink add the tomatoes.
    • Add Ginger Garlic paste (optional) Fry till it looses Raw smell.
    • Cook in a medium flame till the tomatoes are cooked
    • Add in the chopped veggies and add the sambar powder(optional), salt ( just for the veggies), turmeric powder and the pavbhaji masala and Chat Masala 
    • Mix well and cook it for sometime , let the vegetables be crunchy and not over cooked
    • Add the cooked pasta to this. Before adding the pasta run the pasta in cold water in a colander. This is to get moisture to the pasta.
    • Mix well and cook in a low flame for 3-4 minutes.
    • Switch off the flame. Serve hot
